8 MEMBERS' IMAGES........................................................................................................... Astro-photography is not a dark art - it can be relatively easy. Whether images are produced using conventional means or via the latest digital imaging techniques, astro-photography is an absorbing and fun way to expand your interest. Wiltshire Astro Society also accepts, alongside digital images by our members (jpeg format please!) images made by traditional sketching and also scanned film images The table below lists members' images captured by a variety of techniques. Click on the thumbnails to view a larger version of the image, with a brief description. Please see the note below regarding correct viewing. Solar images were taken with specialist filters. Looking at the Sun without proper filters is highly dangerous, and can lead to immediate and permanent eye damage. The link to software on the left features some of the software used to take some of the images you will see here. Also note that in our newsletter, members images and observation logs appear each month.
